This lovely piece was made by Gullaskruf Glassworks in Sweden and imported to England by Hans Geismar from his base in London. The original foil sticker is still intact to the front. Hans Geismar was an importer of Art Glass from several European and Scandinavian countries.
His stickers were marked HG and had the country of origin and Art Glass. In this case Swedish Art Glass. For more information please visit 20th Century Glass.
The footed bowl is a lovely teal colour and the piece was designed as a shrimp bowl. The shrimp or prawns were hung over the edges with ice in the base of the outer bowl and sauce in the middle bowl section.
This make a lovely display piece and would also work well as any other sort of dip and eat type bowl.
There is no damage to this piece.
The bowl is 215mm across and stands 55mm tall.
