This beautiful set of 8 glasses is from the Ships series designed by Per Lutken in 1970 for Holmegaard, Denmark. These were the smallest in the range and were made as a schnapps glass.
The glass maker for this series was Harald Hansen. The series was made over a period of years with this particular set being made in the 1980's. The glasses are not signed indicating they were made in the 1980's after individual signing of glass became too time consuming and was no longer carried out. Some still have the original labels giving a production date of 1989. These glasses are all original vintage Danish glass. As this is a multiple listing not all the sets have labels.
The crystal in these glasses is bright and clear and have the distinctive blue tinge Holmegaard are famous for. There is no damage to any of these glasses. There is no clouding from dishwasher use.
The glasses stand 120mm tall and measure 42mm across the rim.
