This beautiful set of 6 is from the Ships series designed by Per Lutken in 1970 for Holmegaard Denmark. These are the more elusive cocktail glass with more squat bowl and are suited to a variety of drinks. We like them for a Baileys Irish Cream but they can be used a simple whisky or wine glass too.
The glass maker for this series was Harald Hansen. Made over a period of years this particular set was made in the 1970's and all are signed HG1 indicating they were made in 1971.
The crystal in these glasses is bright and clear. There is no clouding from dishwasher use nor are there any chips or cracks. There are some scratches to the underside of the glasses from use.
The glasses stand 105mm tall and measure 76mm across the rim. The glasses hold 175mm when filled to the rim.
