This set of 4 is in the pattern Royal Yacht designed by Per Lutken in 1978 for Holmegaard Glassworks, Denmark to be a party set to accompany the Ships Glasses.
In fact they are very similar to the Ships glass with shorter stem and wider flat base.
They are made of the thick clear crystal faintly tinged with blue that Holmegaard is so famous for. Some of these glasses are signed HG8 indicating they were made in 1978. Some of the glasses are not signed.
One glass has some tiny bubbles within the crystal to the rim as shown. The glass is not marked as a second so must have passed scrutiny at the glass-works.
There is no damage to any of the pieces and the crystal is clean and clear. These stylish glasses present beautifully.
The glasses stand 163mm tall and measure around 86mm across the rim and 86mm across the base.
