This pretty setting is in the pattern called City and marked to the back ABSA the silver plate trade mark used by the Copenhagen spoon factory Amager.
The pieces are also marked with the Danish quality torch mark, some of the pieces have an early mark pre 1932 and others, that used since 1932.
We have found that the quality of Danish silver plate cutlery is very high. The silver plating is thick and the pieces wear extremely well. The patterns are timeless in their appeal and so different from other designs generally found in Australia. We just love them.
The set comprises 12 person place setting. There are 12 rare hollow handled silver plate dinner knives with serrated blades, 12 dinner forks, 12 large Continental soup spoons or table spoons, 12 dessert spoons, 12 cake forks, 12 teaspoons and 10 serving pieces. There are 82 pieces. This is a large setting which presents beautifully showing little usage and no wear.
