This beautiful Danish setting was made in the silver workshop of Finn Christensen, Denmark. The pattern was designed by famous Dane Jens Harald Quistgaard and is called Stjerne.

We have found that the quality of Danish silver plate cutlery is very high. The silver plating is thick and pieces wear extremely well. The patterns are timeless in their appeal and so different from other designs generally found in Australia. We just love them.

The set comprises a 12 person place setting with 71 pieces.  There are 12 smooth bladed dinner knives with cream coloured composite handles (215mm long), 12 dinner forks (190mm long), 12 Continental Soup or Dinner spoons (195mm), 12 dessert spoons (176mm long),  6 teaspoons (118mm long), large serving spoon, a ladle, a cake server, 5 small meat forks, 2 jam spoons and a cream spoon. There are 71 pieces.

The silver plated pieces are stamped with the distinctive Finn Christensen mark and the JHQ letters for the designer.

The silver plate to these pieces is in lovely condition with only fine usage scratches. The back of the forks tines show some minor wear as shown as does the neck of the large serving spoon.

This is a beautiful Danish designer setting and would grace any table with elegance and style.

Matching knives in the Stjern pattern can be purchased from Denmark for a price of 250 Danish Kroner which is around Au$55 each.
