This striking and elegant lamp is made from red/orange Onyx which is a type of Agate. It has been turned on a lathe to show off the amazing layers and colours of the stone. It is quite remarkable.
The wiring has been re-done and new E27 socket, new cord with in line switch and Australian plug fitted. The piece has been tested and safety tagged by an electrician.
The lamp has a Danish pleated PVC shade which completes the piece.
The lamp stands 400mm to the base of the socket fitting. The base is 110mm across. The complete piece with shade stands 620mm high.
Being carved from stone the lamp base is very heavy.
