This piece of vintage jewellery is in very good condition.
The necklace features a central section of inset panels of tortoise shell looking material to an open back setting. We believe it is a type of early plastic but is not Bakelite and from the style would date to around 1920.
There is fine crazing tot he surface of the material.
The central section is not silver but the chains an closure are sterling silver.
The necklace is 435mm long. The decorative section is 120mm long.
