This gorgeous ring is set with a large cabochon of the Baltic Amber. The amber is reconstituted meaning it has been heated to a liquid to remove the impurities and then let cool and harden. This is done as the amber is often found washed up on the beaches and is full of dirt and grit.
As the amber cools at different rates crystalline discs form within it, as can be seen in this ring. This is still pure amber.
There is a the stamp of 925 to the inside of the band for sterling silver.
The hand crafted ring has a double line setting decorated with little balls of silver. The rounded band is 3mm wide.
The front of the ring is 28mm x 17mm and it sits around 10mm off the finger.
The ring measures as a size S.
