This beautiful brooch is part of the Flora Danica jewellery range designed by Orla Eggert and first released in 1953 in Copenhagen. This brooch would date to around 1970.

The Flora Danica range of jewellery took real pieces of botanical sprigs which were dipped in sterling silver and then in 22 carat gold.

This brooch was a real spring complete with rose hips and leaves. It is unique and finely detailed as can be seen. It is not a Flora Danica design we have seen as yet.

The back has a quality sterling silver pin and roll over locking clasp both of which have also been gold dipped. There is a rectangular plate to the back which reads Eggert Sterling Denmark.

There is no damage and no wear to the gold.

The brooch is 60mm x 41mm.
