This jug was made in the Royal Copenhagen Porcelain Factory and dates to the period of 1924-1934. The piece is also signed by the artist which looks like E Thy.
The design is an elusive one and not often seen. We are of the opinion it was made as a dinner service as we have seen cups and saucers and a tureen in this pattern.
The background colour is a soft cream with hand painted ivy leaves and gold trim to the rim and handles. The decoration appears to be over glaze including the cream background with a soft satin sheen.
There are no chips, cracks or wear to the piece. However it is a factory second and we assume this because of the slightly darker spots to the cream glaze shown below the bottom of the handle.
The jug stands 155mm tall.
