Designed for Royal Copenhagen Aluminia Faience by Beth Breyen this dish is part of the Tenera range. It features a gorgeous stylised flower motif in blue and purple glaze. The colours are bright and the piece is in excellent condition. This piece is clearly marked with the Royal Copenhagen backstamp for pieces made between 1969-1974. It is also marked with the artist mark for Beth Breyen.
Faience is a traditional form of tin-glazed ceramics... in this instance used for this beautiful range of art pottery known as 'Tenera'.
There is some slight crazing due to age, only noticed on the reverse side. There is a little wear (scuffing which is seen as a dull patch on the shiny glaze when viewed from an angle in sunlight) to the surface where something has rested on it over time. We have photographed it. It is not visible unless under very close inspection.
The bowl or dish is 170mm across and 30mm tall.
