Rodd Balmoral is a beautiful design with an ornate floral pattern along the handle. Produced by Rodd during the 1970's, and later by Grosvenor when the two companies merged. It has become a very popular design.
Each piece is simply marked Rodd to the back. The knives have modern blades and subtle ferrules at the base of the blades.
The pieces are silver plated with stainless steel knife blades and present with only fine and light scratches from storage and/or use. The set appears little used and has been stored for a long time. The plating has a reflective finish as can be seen.
There is the odd tiny grey spot here and there. This occurs to the entree forks and the a few to the knives, these are shown in detail.
The vintage set comprises 6 hollow handled dinner knives. 6 hollow handled entree knives, 6 dinner forks, 6 entree forks, 6 dessert spoons, 6 soup spoons, 6 teaspoons and a jam spoon.
