This lovely piece is hallmarked for Poland and is the mark used after 1963 until 1986.
It is a shield shaped plaque with a chain and was made as a nursery plaque to keep a baby safe and was intended to be hung over a crib or cradle.
The hallmark is shown and has a tiny W to the left of the figure head indicating it was assayed in Warsaw. The number 3 indicates a silver purity of 800. It is hallmarked to both back and front.
The plaque has a beautiful finish and the faces and hands of both figures are highlighted in silver. The chain is also silver.
There is no damage to this piece and no wear to the gilding.
The plaque is 60mm x 55mm and weighs in at 20 gms.
