This vintage pendant was made from polished New Zealand Jade, Pounamu or Greenstone in the form of a miniature Mere and suspended on a woven black cord. The Mere is a war club.
The pendant is nicely rounded to both the back and front and has a number of dark inclusions. It is highly polished with three grooves carved to the neck.
The pendant is 40mm long and measures 12mm across the widest part.
There is no damage to this piece and no repairs.
The length of cord is 880mm long and is secured with a knot.
