This beautiful vase was designed Seltmann Weiden Keramik, West Germany. We have not been able to identify the designer.
This type of vase were classed as Op Art vases and featured fine white ceramics with textured finishes.
The exterior has a textured 3D design to the matt finish. The interior has a glossy and smooth glaze to ensure it is water tight.
This particular piece has the Seltmann Weiden backstamp and the production number of 905/1. This use of the 1 usually meant there was at least another size in the same design; we have seen 3 sizes.
There is no damage and the vase makes a good display piece.
The vase is 175mm tall and around 50mm across the mouth. The top measures 65mm x 65mm.
