This beautiful table is made from Brazilian Rosewood and features pretty length ways grain to the top veneer and solid legs. The top is trimmed in solid rosewood and has a lovely waxed finish to the surface. The timber just glows. There are two extensions which pull out end to end. The top itself sits neatly in place with locating dowels and is simply lifted straight up to remove it if required.
We have not been able to identify the maker as yet. It has beautiful and distinctive 5 sided tapered legs. The timber in these legs is solid Rosewood.
The table is 1400mm long when in 6 person mode and each extension adds an other 500mm. The top is 20mm thick. It is 890mm wide. In total the table can be extended to 2400mm in length making a very spacious 8 person setting with 4 chairs down either side and a comfortable 10 person setting by adding another at either end.
Although we have waxed the table it has not been restored and as such still retains its original finish which does have some sun fading to the central section so the extensions are more rich in colour. The central section has fine usage marks or patina.
This is such an elegant table in very good condition.
We have matched it with 6 Danish Farstrup chairs with new black vinyl seats. These chairs are available separately.
