This beautiful Danish Georg Jensen necklace is marked to the back of the last link with the mark used post 1945. It is also stamped 925S for sterling silver and Denmark. It also has the pattern number 96.
The necklace has a gorgeous leaf design called Moonlight Grapes in sterling silver designed by Harald Neilsen (1892-1977). The design featured stylised leaves and bunches of grapes on brooches and as a pendant on necklaces.
This particular necklace No 96 was released with out the pendant of grapes.
There is a circular polished box clasp with sideways locking. The design is solid, not hollow so has a good weight to it. It weighs 53.7gms.
There is no damage to this lovely piece, and although a previously owned necklace it is in excellent condition. There are very fine scratches from use and or storage.
The necklace is designed to be worn as a choker and measures just over 370mm long. Each leaf motif is around 17mm long.
