This lovely ice bucket is in the pattern called Regiment, designed by Sidse Werner for Holmegaard in 1972. This particular piece is signed to the underside HG8 for the year 1978.
As with many of Holmegaard's mid century designs this one is in the ice blue colour that Holmegaard is so famous for.
The ice bucket has a stainless steel swing handle. The bucket is heavy with a thick and solid glass base with included air bubble. The rim is cut and polished and measures 3mm thick. This ice bucket is not going to be knocked over.
There is no damage to this piece. The crystal is clean and clear.
The ice bucket is 155mm tall to the rim and 225mm with the handle fully up. It measures 230mm across the rim. The piece weighs over 2 kilos.
