This gorgeous vintage piece is in very good condition.
The necklace is from Danish Silversmith Erik Poul Fenster c1950 and the turquoise was imported to Denmark from China.
The necklace comprises natural turquoise gemstones in nugget form. Some of the pieces are a bright duck egg blue with some darker more green stones and many show dark matrix.
The original clasp is a pretty filigree piece and set with a single turquoise and marked to the back EFP 925S for Erik Poul Fenster. The clasp is gilded and presents a soft gold.
The turquoise beads are individually knotted and the strand is strong.
The strand has slightly graduated stones. The larger central beads are around 10mm x 8mm and the smaller beads near the clasp are around 8mm x 6mm. The strand is 620mm long.
