This lovely set is silver plated and was made by Danish company Frigast and the pieces are marked with 2 different Danish quality torch marks.
The main setting is stamped for the era between 1928-1932 and most of the serving pieces have the stamp used after 1932.
The pieces have a pretty design with a foliar motif to the mid section which is echoed to the finial and neck. The pattern appears on the back as well. We have found this pattern called by two different names, Hirsholm and Marianne.
There are 6 hollow handled knives, 6 dinner forks, 6 dessert spoons, 6 entree forks, 6 cake fork and 6 teaspoons.
There is a gravy ladle, large serving spoon, salt spoon, bottle opener, 2 x small meat forks, Large meat fork, 4 table spoons, a cake server and a jam spoon.
I sent away to Denmark to find another knife as one was missing only to find that it had a wear spot to the handle. This is smooth and presents as pale gold of the nickle beneath.
There are fine scratches from use and the plating is bright and shiny. They have been well looked after and apart from the knife mentioned show no plating wear or spotting.
We have many other sets of Danish cutlery in store.
