This elegant setting was designed by Henning Seidelin for Frigast Denmark. Henning Seidelin was a prominent famous Danish designer who studied at the Royal Danish Academy from 1917-1936. He began his career as a sculptor but soon turned to industrial design. His work encompassed many mediums and products range from silverware, cutlery, home-wares, lighting, furniture and ceramics. As with many Danish designers their skill ranges over many fields in their life time. Among others Henning designed for Georg Jensen, Hans Hansen, Frigast/Gense, Le Klint and Royal Copenhagen.

The setting is called Savoy and was first designed in the early 1950's. It has a sleek glossy pattern with fine lines and elegant curves to the handles.

The set is silver plated and comprises a setting for 4 people. There are 4 dinner knives with serrated blades, 4 dinner forks, 4 entree forks, 4 soup spoons, 4 dessert spoons and 2 different size jam spoons. There are 22 pieces. We do have a few spares we will include as well almost making a 6 person setting.

There is no silver plate loss although there are fine scratches from use.

One soup spoon has some indents to the bowl as if a child has banged it on a table. One soup spoon has engraving on it for the year 1973.

Although well used the set presents really well.

We have many other sets of Danish cutlery in store.
