This set is in very good condition.
It was made in Denmark and features high quality Mahogany frame with attractive finger joints. It is simply called Model 450 and was designed by Christian Hvidt for Soborg Mobler in Denmark. We are of the opinion it was made in the late 20th century, around 1980.
The original fabric is in very good condition and is either woollen or a woollen mix and is in a cross grain weave in a grey green and off white. There is no damage to the fabric and the cushions are firm.
The frame is solid timber and as mentioned has attractive finger joints to the arms and elegant shaping. There are marks to some of the timber where it has rubbed or been scuffed, most likely in transport in the shipping container. The mahogany has faded in parts from sunlight and these scuffs show up as dark as the sun bleached surface has been rubbed away exposing the original darker timber below. We have shown this in the photos.
The frame is sturdy and has no structural faults. The sofa and chairs look attractive from both the front and back views.
The sofa or couch measures 755m tall x 700m deep x 1450mm wide. The two chairs are 755m tall x 700m deep x 625mm wide
