This interesting souvenir sugar spoon is in very good condition. It is stamped STG SIL in the Australian manner and 925 and is in the form of a shovel. It is marked Broken Hill to the shovel face.

Spoons like this were made as Souvenir Spoons and there is one such spoon at the Powerhouse Museum. It is described as most likely been made by S Schlank and Co in Adelaide c 1930-1950. It was sold in Broken Hill by Wickes and Co.

The Powerhouse Museum article is an interesting read.

There is no damage to the spoon.

The spoon is 85mm long and weighs 9.3gms.

We have many items of solid silver cutlery.
