This gorgeous watch was given as a gift in the 1960's to an avid young Beatle fan. She was Beatle mad and the watch was something she loved.
The piece is i the form of a Ladybird and is gold plated with a mat finish to the wings with glossy spots and head. To open the watch the antenna are pulled in and the wings open to reveal an analogue watch. Like a nurses watch the watch is upside down when looking front on but as it is a pendant when it is tilted up to check the time it is of course around the correct way. The bale is a good size so will fit a variety of chain sizes or even a leather or neoprene cord.
The front to the watch reads Teentime, shock protected and Swiss made. The back reads basically the same with a Patent number 4379/62. Aluminium.
The watch is in working order and presents beautifully as can be seen. It keep good time but please note it has not been serviced.
The Beetle watch is 43mm long x 30mm wide.
