This plate was to show prize butter production in the county of Frederiksborg Denmark in 1924.
It was produced by the The Royal Copenhagen Faience factory or Kobenhavns Fajancefabrik. The plate depicts a figure playing a Bronze Age Lur Horn.
This is not a plate we can find anywhere on the internet, we believe it to be a rare piece.
The plate is in very good condition and has no chips or cracks. There is some crazing showing to the back and this is also faintly evident to the front. There is slight rubbing to the glossy glaze edge of the plate in one spot.
There is one firing fault to the front in the form of an impurity in the ceramic which shows as a raised spot.
The plate is 198mm across.
