This finely crafted piece is in excellent condition and displayed behind glass.
It features a knife cut paper cut design that has been hand coloured.
The design is very intricate with fine details such as circular hole punches and fine fringing around the dragon's mouth and teeth.
The paper has a slight texture and sheen, I think it may be rice-paper.
The piece has been carefully slip stitched top and bottom to the backing paper and card to hold it in place.
The design measures 19cm wide by 34cm high, and the whole piece measures 40cm x 30cm.
The paper backing the piece has a few very shallow crease lines and is an off white colour.
The piece has been sandwiched between a piece of board and a piece of glass to protect and display it. It is clipped together on each edge and can be hung via a nail or small screw.
The glass frame is simple but has been effective in displaying and protecting the piece which could be re-framed if desired.
