This figurine is in excellent condition with no damage.

Made by famous Danish porcelain factory Bing & Grondahl and marked with the three towers of Copenhagen to the underside of the base it dates to a manufacturing period of 1970-1983. It was designed by famous designer, artist and sculpture Dahl Jensen and bears his intertwined initials DJ. The piece is also marked 1670 which is the design number.

The figure depicts a family of sparrows with one parent feeding the baby with the other parent hovering with outspread wings. The name of the piece is based on this beautiful representation of family and is called 'Protection'.

The piece is a factory second with a small glazing fault to the beak of the larger sparrow. It is slightly rough to the touch, this is shown in the photos.

The figurine stands 85mm tall and measures 185mm long.
