This delightful piece is in very good condition. The brooch features a cheeky smiling pig striding along with a golden basket of flowers on his back. It is such a fun piece.
Christine Pyman is a member of Craftmark Australia accredited. She was a selected exhibitor for the Munich International Craft Fair, Germany and the Australia-Korea Foundation's 10th Anniversary in Seoul. She has exhibited widely throughout Australia, Asia, Europe and the USA. She is best known for her Joyous Woman jewellery.
The piece presents beautifully. There are fine scratches to the surface from use, but these are insignificant. There are 2 flowers in the basket, one is solid silver the other has is enamel with a white centre and blue petals. Using a magnifying glass can see that one petal is missing and the surface of the white enamel is crazed. There is a rollover locking clasp to the back and a sterling silver pin. There is a golden hook to the front on which a chain can be threaded and the piece worn as a pendant.
The brooch or pendant is 43mm x 27mm.
