This beautiful set of 8 glasses is from the Ships series designed by Per Lutken in 1970 for Holmegaard, Denmark. They were made as a white wine glass.
The glass maker for this series was Harald Hansen. The series was made over a period of years with those of earlier production signed tot he base. The glasses are not signed indicating they were made after individual signing of glass became too time consuming and was no longer carried out. These glasses are all original vintage Danish glass.
The crystal in these glasses is bright and clear and has the distinctive blue tinge Holmegaard are famous for. There is no damage to any of these glasses. There is no clouding from dishwasher use.
The glasses stand 118mm tall and measure 65mm across the rim.
