This beautiful set of 8 glasses is from the Mazurka series designed by Ole Winther in 1970 for Holmegaard, Denmark. These were the second largest in the range and were made as a red wine glass.
The series was made over a period of years until 1985. The glass is a reproduction of 'Jacob' made 1900-1915. These glasses are all original vintage Danish glass.
The glasses have a knob in the stem and the bowls have cut discs around the base.
The crystal in these glasses is bright and clear and have the distinctive blue tinge Holmegaard are famous for. There is no damage to any of these glasses. There is no clouding from dishwasher use.
The glasses stand 130mm tall and measure 68mm across the rim.
