This elegant set was designed by Henning Seidelin for Frigast Denmark. Henning Seidelin was a prominent famous Danish designer who studied at the Royal Danish Academy from 1917-1936. He began his career as a sculptor but soon turned to industrial design. His work encompassed many mediums and products range from silverware, cutlery, home-wares, lighting, furniture and ceramics. As with many Danish designers their skill ranges over many fields in their life time. Among others Henning designed for Georg Jensen, Hans Hansen, Frigast/Gense, Le Klint and Royal Copenhagen. This design was also produced by Gense after the company took over Frigast. This is a genuine vintage 1950's Frigast set.

The design is called Kongleys and was first designed in the early 1950's. It has a sleek pattern with a shaped handle filled with a fine double  criss-cross decoration.

The forks are still sealed in their store wrapping and present in their original box.  These pieces have never been used. each fork is marked to the back Frigast Solvplet.

There is no silver plate loss, corrosion or bubbling. There is some slight tarnish where air has crept in. This is easily removed with a quick polish.

If you would like the pieces removed from their wrappings and polished please let us know and we will do this.

The forks are 155mm long.

This is a rare opportunity to obtain such a set from this famous designer in such excellent condition.

We have many other sets of Danish cutlery in store.
