This elegant bangle is shaped in the form of a belt with a buckle closure. The bangle is hinged and the end of the 'belt' secures under a silver keeper.
The hinge works well and there is no wobble or movement in the hinge.
To the inside of the hinge are very small import marks for Britain. The assay is for Birmingham and the year 1953. There is a makers mark of CME for CME jewelery Limited. This piece would have been imported by the CME jewelery company for sale in Britain.
There is no damage to this beautiful piece. It is hard to believe it is over 70 years. There are fine indications of a hand beaten band showing as subtle tooling marks.
The bangle is 63mm x 58mm. The band is 10mm wide.
