This piece pair is in really good condition.
The cufflinks feature an enamelled front with a Griffin in silver on black with latin words to either side, indicating they are a logo with motto. We have not been able to identify their origin.
Each front is a crescent shape and has an eyelet to the back to which is attached a chain and dumbbell. The style of the pieces helps to date them to the first half of the 20th century. We would guess around 1940.
Each piece is stamped Silver to the back and we are of the opinion they are Australian sterling silver.
There is no damage to either piece with the enamel being fully intact and the no dents to the dumbbells.
The faces are 19mm x 14mm.
