This piece of vintage jewellery is in beautiful condition.
Danecraft was located in Providence, Rhode Island, USA. It was founded by the Primavera family in 1934 after Victor Primavera immigrated from Italy where he had established himself as an artisan jeweller designing for the wealthy under the name of Primavera Designs. He was well know for the ability to design high quality unique pieces of jewellery. He began his American division and called it Danecraft.
The designs were always changing and crafted in sterling silver for a discerning market. The designs as can be seen are similar to Danish pieces of the same era.
The necklace is a quite beautiful design that features segments with a double leaf. The necklace secures with a bolt ring closure to the back and the Danecraft lozenge can be seen to the back of one of the segments with an additional sterling marked to the back of each segment.
Each segment is 22mm long and the necklace measures 380mm in length. This is a short length designed as a choker style of necklace. We do have small chain extensions which add another 40mm if desired.
