This elegant pair is in very good condition. The earrings are marked to the posts but we cannot decipher the marks. They look like Cyrillic markings to us.
The posts are attached to a ribbed loop of silver from which the drops suspend. The amber is set in open backs so the light really catches the stones making them sparkle.
We believe these to be reconstituted amber where the amber is heated and the dirt and grit is then removed leaving behind any other inclusions.
The disc like inclusions seen are typical of reconstituted amber where the amber has cooled at different temperatures.
The earrings measure 49mm from the top of the drop and are 19mm wide.
