This piece of vintage jewellery is in lovely condition.
The central fan shaped section of the necklace is skill fully carved from Mother of Pearl/ abalone shell. Part of the shell has been left with its natural outer layer showing the rainbow colours, and the inner section carved deeper to reveal the Mother of Pearl.
The setting is rather beautiful with tiny beaded details. The setting is marked 195 for sterling silver, as is the S hook clasp.
The central section measures 5cm in diameter and 2cm from top to bottom at the middle. The delicate chain can be secured at two different lengths, 37 and 47cm.
