This beautiful piece is a Russian hand painted trinket or jewellery box.
It made of wood and paper-mache with a lacquered finish over the hand painted scene.
This particular box has a beautiful hand painted scene of a princess complete with crown with an iridescent green dress with gold highlights. The colours on the rock shimmer in the light.
The inside is a bright red.
There is no damage to this lovely piece.
The box is 70mm x 70mm x 40mm.
