This beautiful piece is a Russian hand painted trinket or jewellery box.
It made of wood and paper-mache with a lacquered finish over the hand painted scene.
This particular box has a beautiful hand painted scene of a young man with gold trim to his clothes. The colours in the back ground and on the leaves shimmer in the light.
The inside is a bright red and the top is hinged.
There is no damage to this lovely piece.
The box is 68mm x 58mm x 25mm.
