This figurine is in beautiful condition. It was designed by Christian Thomsen for Royal Copenhagen, Denmark, and depicts a boy sitting on a rock whittling what looks like the end of a fishing rod.
It is a factory second as it has a score through the back stamp but has no visible faults. The reason for the seconds marking would be the darker colour to the base of the left hand where there is a tiny pin prick hole. Both are pre firing marks.
It was manufactured in 1954 indicated by the line under the Y in Royal.
He measures just under 180mm tall.
