This beautiful setting is in very good condition. The vintage cutlery set features one of Rodd's most popular designs called Camille which was produced in Australia during the 1950's and 1960's. It features an embossed floral patterning to the handles. Each piece is marked Rodd to the back indicating this is a newer set from the late 1960's. The knives have modern blades and subtle ferrules at the base of the blades. This is marked as heirloom plate which means there is a double layer of silver plate.
This is a setting for 8 people consisting of 58 pieces. The set was a wedding gift that was never used. Most of the spoons are still in their original store wrap which we have not opened as the pieces show no tarnish. The other pieces have been lightly and gently polished and as can be seen there are no usage marks to these pieces. The setting presents as new.
The pieces are silver plated with stainless steel knife blades.
There are 8 dinner knives, 8 entree knives, 8 dinner forks, 8 entree forks, 8 soup spoons, 8 dessert spoon, 8 teaspoons and 2 serving or table spoons.
The canteen is in lovely condition internally but there are a few marks to the outside. There is an extra drawer to house extra pattern pieces as they are acquired.
