This canteen was made to house a set of cutlery. It was made to suit either 6 or 8 person settings.

The canteen is made from a stained wood and has a flocked green lining.

The timber is in very good condition with only minor scuffs to the timber at the edges.  The green flocking is also in very good condition with a few rub marks.

The canteen was made by Mc Phersons Homewares in Victoria. They made cutlery canteens which were then branded by the cutlery companies who bought them. They were used by Rodd, Oneida and Grosvenor.

The canteen will suit all Rodd, Grosvenor and Oneida patterns. This particular canteen originally housed an Oneida Hampton Court setting as shown by the label.

There is a place for all place settings, dinner knives and forks, entree knives and forks, soup spoons, dessert spoons and teaspoons.

The canteen is 468mm long x 298mm deep x 60mm tall.
