This piece of vintage jewellery is in very good condition.
The pendant is large and is in the from of a fish with articulated body so it moves with the wearer.
There are 6 sections to the fish each joined to the next by soldered sterling silver links. Each section is enamelled in bright iridescent blues and greens on a black background. The eye is bright red.
The reverse side of the fish has a textured surface. The bale is soldered closed and attached to the eyelet at the mouth and is stamped 138 AR. This is the Italian silver assay sued from 1944-1968 and indicates the silversmith number 138 from the town of Arezzo. The bale is also stamped 925 for sterling silver.
The sterling silver chain is a flat link and secures with a bolt ring clasp.
The fish has no damage and the colours are vibrant.
The pendant is 100mm long including the bale x 25mm at the widest. The chain is 500mm long.
