The 'Etude' lighting range was designed by Michael Bang in the 1978 for Holmegaard glassworks and has become a Danish lighting classic.
The light is double blown, once in clear glass then white glass is blown through the clear to create the cased glass pendant. There is a rim of clear glass to the edges with the white opaline on the remainder. The lighting effect is a soft warm glow.
The internal light fitting and wiring has been safety tested and a plug has been attached for display purposes. This plug will be cut off when the light is sold and the light will require a qualified electrician to install it.
The light measures 29cm in height and roughly 35cm in diameter at the base.
This particular version has the light bulb set low in the neck of the light. We have come across two versions of bulb placement and this would relate to when the pieces were made.
Its fresh and timeless look would compliment many decorator styles, classic/traditional or modern/contemporary.
