This beautiful lithograph is by significant Danish 20th Century artist Carlo Rosberg.
Rosberg was born in 1905 and was a prolific artist, he had a modern and distinctive style.
It is a bright and colourful piece, depicting his favourite subject; boats.
Signed by the artist and dated 93 it was printed a year before his death. It was a print that was produced in limited numbers, but this particular piece is signed HC, which stands for Hors d'Commerce Proof. This was a proof from the printer designed for promotional or non commercial use, for example as a display piece for a gallery or dealer. It would have been one of a number of proof prints produced before the official run. It is signed by the artist in pencil.
The piece is in its original frame with a slim profile and a silver finish. The mat board is white and has a beveled edge. There are a few small scratches to the frame but overall the piece pesents well.
