This elegant piece is in very good condition.
The ring is hallmarked to either side of the outside band in the French manner. The marks are the small boars head silver assay for 800 silver used 1838-1962. There is a makers mark which is partially worn so we cannot identify it.
The setting has a stepped design and is set with 4 claws with a cut amber coloured stone. The stone has some fine scratches and edge rubbing seen under a magnifying glass but these are not noticed to the naked eye.
The stone is 11mm x 8mm. The band is just under 2mm wide at the back. The ring is a size O.
