This pretty ring is in very good condition and features an elegant raised design set with an oval shaped cabochon of Baltic Amber.
The outside of the band is stamped AN 925 in the manner of Polish rings. There is also a very worn and therefore blurred mark which could be the standard mark of Poland.
The amber is full of disc like inclusions called spangles indicating that the amber has been heated to remove impurities and on cooling has tiny discs of crystals within. The silver setting is an intricate tendril and berry design.
The band is 2mm wide and the face of the ring is 22mm x 18mm and it sits 8mm above the finger.
The ring is a size AU size L 1/2 or US size 6.
