This beautiful lamp is in excellent condition with no damage.
Made in Denmark the base features the Blue Series glaze over an impressed design. The glaze has oxidized in the recesses of the design causing the colour to change to pale blue creating a contrast to the darker surrounds.
The piece is marked Soholm Stentoj Denmark with the design number 1054. It also has the EJ monogram for deigner Einar Johansen. He was a Danish ceramist who work for Soholm until 1968. His Blue series is one of his best known.
The lamp has the original Danish fitting and has been completed with a new PVC white pleated Danish shade. The shade clips onto the light bulb. The fitting takes a standard E27 screw globe. All wiring has been redone and it has been safety tested and tagged for Australian and New Zealand Standards.
The pottery base measures around 250mm tall and around 100mm across the base. The total height including shade is just over 450mm. The lamp has an inline switch to the black cord.
The lamp would be ideal for a side table or sideboard.
For International sales ( does not include New Zealand) the cord will be cut short for new wiring to be installed by your electrician.
