This delightful small lamp was made in the Strehla factory situated in East Germany. Pieces from this pottery are often placed with the West German potteries as they are very similar in type.
The base has a decorative section of thick textural lava glaze in bright orange and red.
The lamp has been newly rewired to Australian standards and been safety checked and tagged by our electrician. There is an in line switch to the white cord. The bulb fitting takes an E27 globe readily available at supermarkets.
The shade is a new pleated PVC type which clips on to the bulb.
The base measures 85mm in diameter and the height of the lamp is 200mm to the base of the fitting. In total including the shade it measures 380mm high.
