This beautiful and elegant piece is in very good condition.

The necklace is marked 925 for sterling silver and FDJ for Flora Danica Jewellery. This particular piece is called Corkscrew Hazel. Flora Danica began as a the jewellery company in 1952 and started by copper coating real pieces of flora and the giving the pieces a 22ct gold plating. As the jewellery became popular flora and leaves were difficult to source especially 4 leaf clovers so a call went out the public to bring in 4 leaf clovers and a price of 1 kroner was paid for each 4 leaf clover. As demand heightened in the 1970's  the company then started to make solid sterling silver jewellery using the original casts from the 1950's and 1960's.

This necklace has links of twigs from the corkscrew hazel made of solid sterling silver based on casts from nature as described above.

The necklace measures 455mm long and each twig measure 35mm long.

The necklace secures with a parrot clasp which attaches to a length of chain.
